Three steps from first call to first day.

We’ve been doing this long enough that the process is simple. You call, we listen and verify, and you arrive.

  1. Start with a call

    Minutes

Dial (866) 996-4308 or submit the insurance form. Our admissions counselor listens first, then asks a few questions to understand who you are calling for, what substance or substances, and what the urgency looks like. No script, no sales pitch.

  2. Clinical phone assessment

    20–30 min

A brief clinical screen covering substance-use history, mental-health history, medications, and recent detox needs. Our clinical and medical directors review the screen; together we decide whether Seven Arrows is the right fit.

  3. Arrive at the ranch

    24–48 hours

Once approved, we coordinate insurance authorization, travel (flight, airport pickup, or sober transport), and — if acute detox is needed first — a partner detox stay. Most clients land on campus within two days of their first call.

Free, confidential, no commitment.

We verify benefits with most major insurance plans and return a plain-English summary of your coverage — deductible, copay, authorized days — usually within 15 to 30 minutes during business hours.

Bring your member ID, group number, and date of birth when you call. If you don’t see your carrier below, call us anyway — we also work with out-of-network PPO plans and offer private-pay options.

From arrival through discharge.

A rough arc of a typical stay. Your actual timeline flexes with clinical needs, but this is the shape most clients move through.

  1. Hour 0

    Arrival + welcome

You are met at the airport or driveway by a staff member. Quick tour of the grounds, your room, and where things live. Meal and rest.

  2. Day 1

    Medical + clinical intake

Nursing does vitals, reviews medications, and syncs with your prior prescribers. Your primary clinician meets with you for a longer 60-minute intake.

  3. Days 1–3

    Treatment plan built

The clinical team (primary, medical, nursing, psychiatric) reviews your intake at interdisciplinary rounds and finalizes your individualized treatment plan with you.

  4. Week 1

    Groups + primary therapy begin

Daily process groups, individual therapy with your primary clinician, and your first holistic sessions (yoga, breathwork, sound). Meals with peers. First circle.

  5. Weeks 2–4

    Deeper work

EMDR, ART, or IFS work with your primary as indicated. Equine-assisted sessions begin. Family support session by phone with loved ones. Aftercare planning starts.

  6. Discharge

    Step-down + aftercare

Written aftercare plan (outpatient, sober living, psychiatric follow-up, alumni program). We hand you off warmly and stay in touch.

Getting here

Four ways to arrive.

We’re in Cochise County, in southeastern Arizona. Our admissions team handles the travel details so you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Fly into Tucson (TUS)

≈ 1 hr 45 min drive

The closest airport to the ranch. Daily nonstops from Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, and other Sun Belt hubs. A staff member meets you at baggage claim and drives you in.

Fly into Phoenix (PHX)

≈ 3 hr drive

Phoenix Sky Harbor is the larger international hub and often has better fares. We arrange a private transport from Sky Harbor to the ranch or meet you for a longer airport pickup.

Sober transport nationwide

Same day or next day

For clients in active use or who need a companion on the trip, we coordinate a vetted sober transport service. A trained companion meets you at home and stays with you door-to-door.

Private driver + your own car

By appointment

Some clients prefer to be driven in their own vehicle, or drive themselves with a family member. We can coordinate either — secure parking on campus is available.

More options than you think.

Cost is often the first concern. We walk through the full picture — insurance, appeals, private-pay, and financing — in plain English during your admissions call.

Insurance

In-network insurance

Most clients use insurance to cover the majority of residential treatment cost. We verify your benefits for free and give you a written estimate of out-of-pocket before you decide anything.

OON PPO

Out-of-network PPO

Many PPO plans cover out-of-network residential treatment at a percentage after deductible. We handle the authorization paperwork and file claims on your behalf throughout the stay.

Private pay

Private pay

Clients who prefer not to use insurance (privacy, licensure concerns, or out-of-state PPO gaps) can pay privately. Rates are transparent and available on request from admissions.

Financing

Financing & lending

We work with third-party medical-lending partners for clients who need to spread cost over time. Prequalification is soft-credit and takes a few minutes during the admissions call.

Blended

Insurance + private pay

Many families combine insurance for the medically-necessary portion with private pay for elective extras or extended stays. We build the math with you during the benefits call.

Advocacy

Appeals & authorization help

When insurance under-authorizes a stay, our utilization-review team appeals on clinical grounds. We fight for the length of care the clinical evidence supports.

The real questions.

Twelve direct answers to the questions admissions fields most often. If yours isn’t here, call us at (866) 996-4308.

  • Call (866) 996-4308 or submit the insurance-verification form. An admissions counselor runs a brief phone assessment, verifies your benefits, and schedules your arrival — most callers can be admitted within 24 to 48 hours.

  • Yes. Admissions counselors answer the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. Callers who reach voicemail outside of staffed hours get a callback within 15 minutes.

  • Free insurance verification usually takes 15 to 30 minutes during business hours and under an hour outside them. We call the insurance carrier directly and return a plain-English summary of deductible, copay, and authorized days.

  • Seven Arrows Recovery works with most major insurance plans — Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, TRICARE, and most PPO plans — as an out-of-network provider. Our admissions team runs a free benefits check so you know your coverage before you commit.

  • Seven Arrows does not currently accept Medicaid or Medicare as primary insurance. Clients with Medicaid or Medicare coverage should call us anyway — we maintain a trusted-partner referral list and will help you find the right placement.

  • We offer private-pay options and work with third-party medical-lending partners for clients who need to spread cost over time. Our admissions team walks through the full picture honestly on the first call.

  • We accept clients who are post-detox or who do not require medical detox. If you still need acute detoxification, admissions coordinates a short stay at a partnered detox facility so you arrive at Seven Arrows medically stable.

  • Bring 7 to 10 days of comfortable clothing, sturdy closed-toe shoes, toiletries (alcohol-free), all prescribed medications in their original containers, a government-issued photo ID, and your insurance card. Admissions sends a full printable packing list with your confirmation.

  • Alcohol, drugs, or any substance (including alcohol-based mouthwash) are not allowed. Weapons, outside food or supplements without medical approval, clothing with drug/alcohol imagery, candles, and items of significant financial value are also held at intake.

  • Most clients fly into Tucson International Airport (TUS, ~1 hour 45 minutes drive) or Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX, ~3 hours). Our admissions team coordinates airport pickup, sober transport nationwide, or private driver service as needed.

  • Yes. Structured phone check-ins with approved family members begin in the first week. Visitation is typically scheduled after the first two weeks; the clinical team handles visit scheduling and family-weekend logistics.

  • Yes. Seven Arrows is HIPAA-compliant and governed by 42 CFR Part 2, the federal confidentiality rule for substance-use treatment. Admissions never releases information without your signed authorization except where the law requires it.

When you’re ready
